"Stellantis" still needs to deal with the fact that it's a corporate holding structure not an auto manufacturer, no matter how much it wants to be. The random portfolio of brands don't really have any global synergies so everything becomes regionalised. Chrysler is predominantly a North American company, while Fiat Peugeot Citroen are not and cannot be sold here.

Its impossible to see where the capital comes from to fund these ambitious plans given the company's weak financial situation after a multi billion loss.

There are elements of the British Leyland story here, another multi brand merger, which if anyone remembers did not end well.
